RADICAL ALLIANCE PROPOSES PROFESSOR UKSHIN HOTI (KOSOVO) FOR 1999

Strasbourg, 16/09/1998 (Agence Europe) - The Radical Alliance Group of the European Parliament has put forward the candidature of Kosovar Professor Ukshin Hoti for the EP's Sakharov 1999 award. Held for the past four years by the government of Belgrade for his political opinions, Professor Ukshin Hoti has fought for a political solution to the Kosovo question. The secretary of the Radical Party and MEP Olivier Dupuis specified that Ukshin Hoti considers a solution to the Kosovo problem is inextricably linked to the establishment of democracy and rule of law throughout current Yugoslavia, beginning in Belgrade.
