Council for the Defense of Human Rights and Freedoms informs:

Prizren Sub-council on Prizren informs that today, on February 26, 1999, the body of the victim that was found yesterday near the village Gjonaj in the municipality of Prizren was identified. His name is Salih Abdullah Morina, (1958), from the village Rogov , in the municipality of Gjakova.

On February 22, he went from his house to the hospital of Gjakova, for medical treatment, and nothing was known about his fate since than.

Gllogoc

Sub-council in Gllogoc informs that on February 25, Florentina Bujupi, one year old, from the village Orllati, the municipality of Glogoc, died due to the difficult living conditions and the lack of medical treatment.

In the CDHRF in Prishtina are arriving the reports for the increase of the number of the Serbian forces and military equipment, representing a permanent threat for Albanian civil population. In the last two-three days, the situation has deteriorated especially in the regions of the municipalities of Vushtrria, Mitrovica and Suhareka. From these regions, as a result of continuos attacks from the Serbian forces, a large number

of the civil population has fled from their houses in quest for shelter in other places with relatively more calm situation.

Yesterday in the morgue of the Hospital in Gjakova was brought a dead body, approximately of 50 years age, still with unknown identity. After the autopsy was done it was concluded that this person was killed two days ago. The body of the victim was found near the village Bishtazhin (Gjakov ). Along the road Gjakov - X rx the movements of Serbian forces were intensified.

Serbian administration in the village "Babush i Muhaxher ve" (Lipjan) together with Serbian police, today at around 11:00, have removed from their office all materials, files and furniture. With closing this office and terminating it's work, it is supposed that the data for 10.000 Albanian civilians of the villages of this region were destroyed. The exact same procedure took place also in the villages of the municipality of Istog: Vrell , Banj and Cerkolez.

In the suburb of the town of Gjakova yesterday was found an unidentified dead body.

On February 25, 1999 like on February 22 and 23, Serbian forces

surrounded the villages Vaganic , Pirq, Pantin , Okrashtic and Liqej, in the Operative Zone of Shala. These villages are under control of U K units of this Operative Zone. So, at around 10:00, firstly enemy forces began to shell the villages Liqej, Oshlan and Okrashtic . On the other hand Serbian forces are organizing military manoeuvres in order to camouflage their preparing for new offensive in the Operative Zones of Shala and Drenica. On their efforts to take some strategic points of U K, U K units forced the Serbian forces to withdraw. One tank of Serbian military forces was totally destroyed. Serbian enemy forces has lost many soldiers as well.
