Hani i Elezit

As we informed previously, Serbian police and military forces attacked

U K positions in the village Pustenik, near Hani i Elezit, and some

other villages of this region. In this occasion some of the enemy's

solders were killed or wounded, while on the U K side one solder was

wounded.

During the withdrawal, after a lost battle, Serbian chased some young

persons, inhabitants of this region, who were evacuating in front of the

Serbian offensive. We were informed that Miqail Berisha, from the

village Goranca, was arrested under these circumstances.

The situation in Hani i Elezit has deteriorated, especially since the

killing of Gafurr Loku and his son from the village Paldenica, when some

persons with cars with civilian license plaits knocked on the door of

his house and when they answered they killed them and run away. Gafurr

was an ex political prisoner and enjoyed the respect from the people of

this region. The competent U K organs investigated the crime and came to

the conclusions that the killers were persons closely related with

Serbian authorities.

Vushtrri

Serbian forces, stationed near the village Bukosh in the municipality of

Vushtrria, are shelling the ward Zu kaj in the village Dubovec in

Drenica. This ward also was shelled yesterday in the afternoon. The

village Galica was also shelled, creating panic among the citizens.

New Serbian reinforcements arrived near the Prekazi i Ep rm (Upper

Prekaz), in the road Mitrovic - Skenderaj.

Also today, the third day in the row, Serbian military forces are

continuing to shell the villages Okrashtic , Pantin , Liqej, Oshlan,

Taraxh , Galic and Lubavec, using heavy artillery and missile

launchers. Intense fighting continued during all night. We still do not

have the reports about any possible victims. The humanitarian conditions

are very difficult. Thousands of citizens from the attacked villages

were forced to flee from their houses, a considerable number of them

were forces to spent the night under the open sky.

Mitrovic

Yesterday in the evening, the Serbian army, stationed in Frash r i

Vog l, shelled and shot toward the villages Pantin and Oshlan, in the

municipality of Vushtrria, and villages Vaganic e Poshtme, Vaganic e

Ep rme, V rnic and Pirq in the municipality of Mitrovica.

Two Albanians were killed and one was wounded from the Serbian

civilians, who were using snipers, in Vaganic e Poshtme. It is

suspected that the bodies of the victims were taken from the Serbian

police.

Llap

Today also, in the Llap region was a very tense situation. From the

morning hours, Serbian forces situated in the airport in the village

Dumosh, started moving in the direction of the village Lluzhan and

afterwards in the highway Podujev - Prishtin . Similar movements made

also the Serbian forces stationed in the Tabet e Llapashtic s,

Godishnjak and Majac. At around 8:45, from Tabet e Llapashtic s, the

enemy attacked the village Llapashtica. U K units responded to this

attack forcing the withdrawal of enemy forces.

While, near the lake of Batllava, today was found one dead body, who

remains unidentified until now. OSCE verifiers came to scene of the

crime. Large number of Serbian police and military forces went in this

direction.
