The UN Commission on Human Rights approved today a resolution entitled Promotion of the right to democracy, submitted by the USA and supported by 46 co-sponsors.

The Commission approved this resolution in a roll-call vote by 51 votes in favour and 2 abstentions (China and Cuba).
