TIRANE, May 13(ATA)-Prime Minister Pandeli Majko on Thursday met in Tirane with German Federal Interior Minister Otto Schily, spokesman of the Prime Minister reports. "Situation is likely to precipitate further but we are determined to cope with it. We have opened borders with Kosova, Macedonia and Montenegro for all the Kosova war refugees, convinced that in this way we help preserve stability in the region," said Prime Minister Pandeli Majko. "I have shared views with the Macedonian Prime Minister on the NATO operaiton in the region and expressed public support for the government of Djukanovic in Montenegro". Majko said that he regarded the continuation of the NATO operaitons and the fulfilment of the five conditions put forward by it as the sole way for the establishment of peace in the region. German Minister Schily said that his second visit within a short period in Albania should be considered as an expression of sympathy for Albania and the way it is coping with the situation created. He pointed to th
e current efforts for the europianisation of the Balkans and said that Germany is very interested in a stabilised Balkans and in an end to the crime in Kosova. Evaluating Albania's role in the development in the Balkans, Schily said that Albania should be assisted in its efforts and it is significant to assist not only by providing humanitarian aid but also backing up budget. "In the future, too, Albania can strongly count on the German aid," said Minister Schily.
