MEP Olivier Dupuis, Belgian member of the Radical Alliance, has welcomed statements by the Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague, Graham Blewitt, who, in an interview in Der Spiegel, said the Tribunal would do its utmost to ensure that, after his indictment, President Milosevic would be arrested quickly. The international community, and NATO first and foremost, must do everything in their power to protect the physical integrity of Mr Milosevic and other indictees so that the trial will take place, statedMr Dupuis. Gianfranco Dell'Alba, Italian member of the Radical Alliance and Secretary General of "No Peace without Justice", pointed out, with the organisation's President Sergio Stanzani, that the European Parliament recently requested the immediate indictment of President Milosevic in a resolution, with the adoption of an amendment by his group.
