MEP Olivier Dupuis has written to the EU Foreign Ministers, Commissioner for External Relations Chris Patten and CFSP Representative Javier Solana, calling on the EU Council to "demand and obtain" the immediate release of all Kosovar prisoners. Over a month after the end of the international operation in Kosovo, thousands of Albanian Kosovars are still prisoners of the Belgrade regime, he states in the letter, noting that many of them were "literally kidnapped by Serb military and police forces".
