In a letter to EP President Nicole Fontaine, Italian Radical Gianfranco Dell'Alba deems "incredible" the request by MEP Per Gahrton, Chair of the Delegation for Relations with China, for the participation of the Chinese People's Assembly in the exchange programme for officials of the European Parliament and national parliaments. "What does Gahrton want? For our officials to be initiated in the practices of the Chinese Communist Party, of which the People's Assembly is the mouthpiece?" asks Mr Dell'Alba.
