According to Radical Member of the EP Olivier Dupuis, the resignation of Albania's Prime Minister Pandeli Majko is "an extremely serious political event, for which responsibility is incumbent, far more than on the obscure interests of part of the Albanian Socialist Party, on the European Union as a whole" and on certain Member States. The Belgian MEP (elected in Italy) criticises the EU for having systematically excluded Albania from "real European integration processes", weakening precisely the leader who "championed" this process, Prime Minister Majko.
