HUMAN RIGHTS BREECHES NO LONGER TIED WITH CROATIA -- FOREIGN MINISTER

GENEVA, March 21 (Hina) - Croatia is no longer a country to which the

violation of human rights is tied, Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino

Picula said in Geneva on Tuesday. Picula held talks with the UN High Commissioner for Human rights Mary Robinson on Tuesday morning and will later in the day address members of the UN Human Rights Commission which is presently in

session. "We are trying and succeeding not to have the violation of human

rights be connected with Croatia any more," Picula told reporters

after talks with Robinson. According to him, Robinson described as very positive the efforts of the new Croatian authorities to secure the return of all refugees

to Croatia. "Croatia does not separate its citizens on any basis," Picula

said. "We wish to participate in the solving of all problems, especially

in Croatia and then in the region, which are a foundation for mass

breaches of human rights," he added. Robinson and Picula also spoke about the crisis in Serbia and a possible new wave of refugees from Yugoslavia. Croatia's Foreign Minister will during the day hold talks with

Israeli Justice Minister Yossy Beilin and World Trade Organisation

chief director Michael Moore.
