| Albania has already ratified the abolition of death penalty. The Premier Ilir META signed today in Strasbourg the last obligation of Albania in front of Council of Europe and Albania is already member who has fulfilled all the obligations and enjoys all the rights within Council of Europe. Ilir META accompanied by Justice Minister, Ilir PANDA, signed the last protocol of CE's obligation in relation with the Death Penalty. Constitutional Court already abolishes the death penalty also, one month ago. This Juridical Albanian Institution has invalidated the precedent law in conformity with the new Constitution of Albania, which has passed in force by a popular referendum in November 1998. |
