ICTY CHIEF PROSECUTOR VERY SATISFIED WITH COOPERATION WITH CROATIA

ZAGREB, June 21 (Hina) - The Prosecution of the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) now has access to all necessary documents, including those regarding 'Flash' and 'Storm' operations, and is therefore very satisfied with its cooperation with the Croatian authorities, ICTY Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte said in Zagreb on Wednesday, after meeting Croatian

President Stipe Mesic. Del Ponte arrived in Zagreb unexpectedly from Kosovo to express gratitude to the Croatian President for a very good cooperation and discuss with him an investigation which is being conducted in Dubrovnik, the details of which she did not want to reveal. Asked to comment on a statement by her deputy Graham Blewitt, who last week told the Sarajevo media that Croatia was still not fully cooperating, del Ponte said that until a month ago there had been some technical problems, which were solved and the ICTY was currently very satisfied with the cooperation. After she returns to The Hague, the Chief Prosecutor will request the ICTY President to inform the U.N. Security Council that Zagreb is fully cooperating with the Prosecution and thus withdraw a report on Croatia's non-cooperation the Prosecution submitted to the Security Council during the mandate of Croatia's old government. Del Ponte will tonight leave for Dubrovnik, where she will hold talks with Justice Minister Stjepan Ivanisevic.
