Delegation of the Council of Europe has met with the Duma which refused to go to the European parliament. This fact didn't prevent the dialogue. Walter Schwimmer, Italian minister Lamberto Dini and - from the Russian side - the head of the latest scandalous Russian delegation in the PACE Dmitry Rogozin, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, the chairman of the Duma commission for human rights Alexandr Tkachyov, the agrarian deputy Nikolay Kharitonov and the vice-chairman of the "Yabloko" Sergey Ivanenko have taken part in this meeting. After the intercourse with the European delegation the deputies have concluded that the Europeans "will be able to persuade the Assambly to revise its discriminating decision in respect of the Russian delegation which was adopted in April." Rogozin has even declared that Dini "is sorry about the decision adopted in April by the PACE" and is ready to help the dialogue.
