The plenipotentiary of the president of the Russian Federation in the State Duma Alexandr Kotenkov has declared that it is possible that the bill on political parties may be introduced by the head of the state into the lower chamber of the parliament "by the end of next week".

Kotenkov has specified that at today's meeting in the Kremlin various drafts of this law were discussed, including the draft proposed by the Central Election Comission of the Russian Federation. However, according to him, none of the drafts was recognized as sufficiently elaborated.
