PFK head Haradinaj meets Albania politicians

TIRANA - Albanian Foreign Minister Paskal Milo met yesterday with the head of the Party for the Future of Kosova (PFK) Ramush Haradinaj. PFK head Haradinaj thanked Minister Milo for Albania's support to Kosova during the war and now. Haradinaj asked for more cooperation between Albania and Kosova in the framework of regional initiatives. Minister Milo appraised the work of Albanian parties in Kosova to normalize the situation there and hold democratic, free and fair local elections for the first time in the history of Kosova and expressed his hope that the planned general elections in Kosova will be as free and democratic as the recent local elections. Both Milo and Haradinaj called for a just and quick solution to the plight of Kosova Albanian prisoners in Serbia. Regarding tensions in Albanian-populated Presheva, Bujanovc and Medvegja, Milo and Haradinaj called for more cooperation between Albanians and the international community, so that "Albanians living in the area will not be forced to abandon th
eir homes but rather enjoy all the due rights according to international standards."
PFK head Haradinaj also met with DP head Berisha, with whom he exchanged opinions on the future of Kosova. Berisha is reported to have stated that "the up-coming general elections in Kosova are very important for the promotion of democracy there." Regarding recent increased tensions in Presheva, Bujanovc and Medvegja, Berisha said that Albanians there are most oppressed. Regarding the problem of Kosova Albanian prisoners in Serbia, the two interlocutors agreed with mocratic values and credibility of Yugoslav President Koshtunica. Speaking on the situation in Presheva, Bujanovc and Medvegja, Haradinaj said Albanians there are undergoing genocide and ethnic cleansing, and Albania should raise its voice about that.
