CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION: COURT SITTING ON THE CASE OF ALEXANDR VELIKANOV WILL TAKE PLACE ON JANUARY 29

MOSCOW, JANUARY 26, 2001

On January 29 the Tushinsky Intermunicipal Court of the city of Moscow will examine the complaint of Alexandr VELIKANOV, conscientious objector, participant of the Antimilitarist Radical Association. The complaint was lodged against the enlistment commission that refused to assign him to the alternative civilian service regardless of the right to perform alternative civilian service instead of the military service, guaranteed by the article 59.3 of the Russian Constitution.

The sitting will begin at 10.00 a.m. The address of the Tushinsky Court: ul. Svobody 12/8. The judge - Yulia Vladimirovna Novichkova (appt. 29).
