MUSCOVITES HAVE A DISTASTE FOR THE LAW ON PARTIES
Interfax
The overwhelming majority of muscovites - 89% - are against the state budget financing of registered political parties, only 2% support this idea.
These data were received by the sociologists of the Research Center of the Moscow Humanitarian and Social Academy during the poll among adult (above 18 years) population of Moscow. The poll shows as well that more than half of the moscovites - 54% - agree that such law on parties can instigate the politically active part of population to use unconstitutional methods of political struggle, but 25% are of the contrary opinion. At the same time almost two thirds of the muscovites - 65% - think that the parties which are represented in the State Duma support this law because they want to prevent other parties from participating in the presidential and Duma elections.
Only 17% don't believe in that.
Experts from the research center state also that a number of polls carried out by different sociologist agencies show that the majority of Russians support the idea of full abolition of election based on party lists and support a considerable reduction of money pawn.
