ITALY - ON THE 19 OF DECEMBER THE CORA WILL HOLD A DEMONSTRATION TO ORGANISE AND SUPPORT THE PRESENCE OF ANTI PROHIBITIONSTS CANDIDATES IN THE ELECTIONS FOR THE NEXT EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND TO DENOUNCE THE POLITICAL IMMOBILITY OF THE ITALIAN GOVERNMENT.

The judge in Genova, who is handling the case, after having heard the reasons of those that signed the denunciation has postponed the hearing while waiting for new factual elements. His colleague in Chiavari will receive those same people on the 19th of December.
ITALY - POSTPONED TRIAL
The pop group "99 Posse" is being investigated on because it is alleged that in one of their songs they propagandise the use of drugs. The members of the group did not show up at the hearing, which was due the 14th of December, in Ancona.

Phisicians and health insurance companies are adopting new rules in the way they assist heroin addicts. Methadone is not sufficient, these patients need also psychological help. Furthermore, a new criteria in measuring the effectiveness of treatments is necessary.

Five ex addicts have denounced the rehabilitation community 'Le Patriarche' for 'abusng of their weakness'. The founder of the community, Lucien Engelmajer, has dissapeared. In the opinion of the Court, 'Le Patriarche' had turned into a lucrative holding. In the meantime, the organisation has changed name and staff:it is now called 'Dionova'.

The peasants of Trinidad are asking help from the American Government to figth local drug traffickers, but their own Prime Minister refuses even to recieve their delegation. There aren't any real drug bosses on Trinidad, only small dealers who also work with the nearby islands.
