In the town of Lecco parents found a Kilo of marijuana in the backpack of their fifteen year old son, and this led to discovery of an juvenile drug pushing racket. Furthermore, there have been many drug related violence cases in various schools of the region.

In Great Britain 55% of arrested people have used drugs, 9% specifically amphetamines or heroin. In USA 40% of the arrested resulted positive to crack and cocaine tests.
