UNAD, which represents a group of 300 different organizations that assist drug addicts, approves of the experiments of controlled distribution of heroin that have been carried out locally in various parts of the country. The organization stigmatises the fact that the Plan Nacional Sobre Drogas is taking so long to authorise the experiments.

The sentence that condemns Raul Salinas, brother of the former President of the Republic, for drug related crimes has been reduced from 50 to 27 and a half years by The Court of Appeal. At the same time the Swiss High Court has freed and restored to the owner all of Mr Salinas' wealth which had been appropriated by the General Prosecutor.
