Pino Arlacchi, the UN delegate for the war on drugs, says that 8% of the world's trading are in drugs. What he doesn't say is how much money is invested and made in fighting drugs.

Sergio Mattarella, the Italian vice Premier, is against controlled distribution of drugs; let's just hope he's not confusing his own moral values with the public office he holds.

ITALY - Giulio Manfredi, of the CORA, after having heard about the three deaths in jail for overdose, writes to the Director of the Italian prisons, Giancarlo Caselli saying that in jail it is possible to find all kinds of illegal drugs, but not methadone.

Carmelo Palma, representative of the CORA in the National Council on Drug Addiction, will ask for the intervention of the Ministry of Public Solidarity.
