"THANK YOU TO THE PREMIER CALFA FROM ALL THE EUROPEAN FEDERALISTS". OPEN LETTER TO THE CZECHOSLOVAK PREMIER FROM TRANSNATIONAL RADICAL PARTY AND RADICAL ASSOCIATION FOR UNITED STATES OF EUROPE.

This morning Paolo Pietrosanti -in the name of the Transnational Radical Party- the Secretary Mirek Soukup and the Treasurer Richard Stockar -in the name of the Radical Association for United States of Europe- have sent the following open letter to the Czechoslovak Prime Minister Marian Calfa:

»Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister. Thank you in the name of all the European Federalists; thank you in the name of the Transnational Radical Party, the first european and federalist party; thank you in the name of all those people (dozens and dozens of millions European citizens) who believe that the only way to build a United Europe based on democracy and freedom is to create common institutions, common rules, common laws: a Federal European State, with a Government and a Parliament. That means United States of Europe.

Thank you for what you wrote in the letter you have just sent to the President Jacques Delors: the Czechoslovak Government is interested in launching probing negotiations on joining the European Communities already this autumn; the Czechoslovak Government considers the expansion and deepening of the political, economic, financial, scientific and technological, ecological, legal and cultural cooperation with the European Communities its foreign policy priority.

We know your intelligence is the same of the whole Government of CSFR; we hope Czechoslovakia will propose soon to enter the European Community, in the interest of Czechoslovakia and in the interest of the western European countries: that's the only way to transform fastly European Community in a new political common institution, without letting it to remain only an economical community, whose Parliament has no power at all, even if it is democratically elected by hundreds million citizens.

Thank you again, Prime Minister Calfa .
