Moscow, November 16 - more than 50 activists of the Soldiers' Mothers Committee, Transnational Radical party, Moscow Students' Club and a number of independent youth organizations made an attempt of a picket of the Moscow city militaty draft station. They demanded immediate introduction of alternative civil service for conscientious objectors and ceising of mass human rights violations withing the army.

7 participants of the action were immediately detained by special militia crew when they displayed posters. Militiamen torn all posters and using force pushed people from the station at the distance of several hundreds metres though they did not violate public order and did not hinder moving of transport.

It is not known yet what has happen to 3 detained demonstrators and where are they kept now.
