Moscosw, November 24 - A meeting of Soviet members of Amnesty International took place in the hall of Moscow Historical Institute (director - Jurij Afanasjev). It was the first meeting of this kind in the Soviet Union. About 100 people were present. It was held with participance of two representatives of International Secretariat from London. The main topick was organizing an AI group in the Soviet Union.

Several Radicals arranged an agitation table in the hall of the meeting with RP's materials and gathered signatures under petitions for alternative service and for abolishing of death penalty.

Alexander Pronozin delivered a short speech. He called for cooperation between AI and RP in strive for the right of conscientious objection and for abolishing of death penalty all over the world, he also advised AI to subscribe to Agora Telematica sistem, paying attention to the great importance of effective communication for mutual work.

Two participants of the meeting joined the Radical party of 1990.
