GEORGIA: RADICALS TOOK PART AT 3rd CONGRESS OF NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE PARTY OF GEORGIA

(Tbilisi, February 22). - The delegation of the Radical Party invited by the Main Committee of National Independence Party of Georgia (NIPG) took part at the 3rd Congress of the biggest oppositional party in this Caucasian republic. The delegation was composed from Moscow Radicals Nikolaj Khramov and Alexander Pronozin.

Moderator at the Congress Mamuka Tsagareli, member of the Main Committee of NIPG responsible for international connections of the party, is also member of the Radical Party.

In his intervention Nikolaj Khramov delivered greetings from Federal Secretariat of the RP and from President of the RP Emma Bonino to the 3rd Congress of NIPG. He expressed expectation that strongly non-violent, ghandian struggle for democracy and independence of NIPG can bring Georgia to the united democratic Europe. In this connection Khramov called NIPG to express its political will to struggle for joining Georgia the EC. He proposed as well to organize an interfactional Euro-Federalist group in the National Congress of Georgia. (NIPG together with another big party - National Democratic Party of Georgia - have qualified majority in this alternative parliament).

Lasha Kojava, member of Main Committee NIPG, underlined in his intervention the significance of political co-operation between National Independence Party of Georgia and Radical Party.

During the personal conversation between Nikolaj Khramov and Irakli Tsereteli, President of National Independence Party of Georgia, that took place at the same evening both politicians were agree about big perspectives of inter-party co-operation in struggle for European democracy in Georgia.
