(Moscow, April 20). - "Role of youth in Russian liberal movement": it was the name of the round table with participation of more as 30 activists from a number of political organizations organized by Liberal Group in Moscow City Soviet.

Aleksandr Prudnikov, deputy of Mossoviet, co-president of Liberal Club, explained the reasons and the history of creating of the Liberal Group in Mossoviet.

Aleksandr Kalinin, deputy of Mossoviet and member of the Federal Council of the Radical Party who was in the chair during the discussion talk about the necessity of a political structure which can organize and lead liberal movement in Russia. He underlined also that common actions for resolving of concrete problems, first of all campaign for right to object military service, are very important. Kalinin accented the fact that only methods of political non-violence can bring the victory in liberal-democratic struggle.

Former Soviet emigrant leaving now in USA Victor Davidoff, Chairman of "Free Market Foundation: USSR" and political consultant for problems of Eastern countries in the Libertarian Party USA, appointed that at first time in the history liberal movement have a chance to be a mass movement in the East European countries and USSR.

Radical activist Nikolaj Khramov noted that Transnational Radical Party is a liberal-democratic party in fact. He said, that transnational and trans-party character of RP make possible using of this party as an instrument for liberal-democratic forces.

Oleg Kokotov from Anarchist Youth Front spoke about the importance of common competition for right of conscientious objection.

In the discussion taken part also members of Liberal Group in Mossoviet, activists of Youth Solidarity Party, Moscow Students' Club, Democratic Party of Russia, "Democratic Russia" Movement, Constitutional Democratic Party and others.

It was decided to organize the next such meeting in one month.
