(Moscow, May 20, 1991) - One of the most popupal Soviet magazines, political weekly "New Time" published an article about Valerija Novodvorskaja, leader of Democratic Union who joined recently the Radical Party.
"Democratic Union was more oftenly than others political organizations accused of extremism and intolerance, writes New Time, <...> Joining the Radical Party Novodvorskaja showed herself as not so big "extremist" as she is usually presented: 'This is the party of freedom and humanism, the party of conscience... I think, Ghandi which face is on the emblem of the Radical Party was a great revolutionary and freedom fighter. Radicals' nonviolence is not demonstration of cowardice or weakness, but conversely of bravery and force, because Radicals sacrifice theirselves for human rights'".
