(Shostka, June 18, 1991) - Conscientious objector Sergej Osnach from Shostka town (Sumy region) who has been kept under arrest in prison since March 13, 1991 stood his trial on June 18. He was sentenced to a year and a half of forced labour. It means that he will be send to perform hard, unqualified job to a region of the country which suffers of lack of workers. If he leaves that place without permission or violates discipline his sentence can be replaced with a stricter one and he can be send to a criminal labour camp which is rather common.
