(Shostka, June 23, 1991) - Aleksei Bogolubskiy, a friend and 1

active supporter of CO S.Osnach, was violently beaten by militia

after the trial.

Sergei Osnach stood his trial for CO on June 18 in Shostka town,

Sumy region, and was sentenced to 1.5 years of forced labour.

His best friend Aleksei Bogolubskiy organized campaign of his

support, applied to mass media, to peace and human rights

groups. So due to this the trial was transformed virtually into

political action.

At the evening of June 23 A.Bogolubskiy was attacked at a street

by several militiamen who violently beat him with rubber sticks

without any reasons, they detained him, took to militia station

and after several hours released without giving any accusations.
