(Moscow, 28 July 1991) - Several representatives of some political parties and human rights organizations made today the meeting to discuss common actions against new draft of low prepared by the Ministry of Defense. According this draft of low, which must be discussed in the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in September, students must be drafted again into the army, as it was in last years of Brezhnev era.

Among others, activists of following parties and organizations were represented there: Democratic Russia Movement, Amnesty International (Moscow Group), Democratic Union, Russian Union of Young Christian Democrats, Confederation of Anarcho-Syndicalists (KAS), Youth Anarchist Front (AMF), Fellowship of People's Socialists (TSN), Party of Youth Solidarity - "Echo" Committee, Moscow Students' Club. The Radical Party was represented by Nikolaj Khramov and Andrej Krymov.

It was decided, to initiate protest campaign against this "anti-students" draft of low. It was recognized as necessary to collect signatures of rectors of high scools and of those it may concern under protest petition addressed to the Supreme Soviet.
