Prague, October 6th 1991. During the Federal Council of Roi (Romska Obcanska Iniciativa = Rom Civic Initiative), held in Nachod on October 4th, Paolo Pietrosanti (member of the Federal Council of Radical Party) was appointed federal Counsellor of the most important organ of that political party.
ROI is one of those few Czechoslovak political party working at a federal level -it means both in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak one; it is largely the most important and the biggest Rom organization in Czechoslovakia, and it has several MPs, both in the Federal Parliament and in Republican ones.
President Emil Scuka (he is also General Secretary of the World Rom Union) and MPs Balog, Gina and Guzi are members of Radical Party.
Pietrosanti is one among the very few "gagè" (not gypsy in Romanés) to be member of the ROI Federal Council.
