UKRAINE - YUGOSLAVIA: RADICAL DEMONSTRATION UNDER SLOGAN OF IMMEDIATE ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF SLOVENIA AND CROATIA IN FRONT OF UKRAINIAN PARLIAMENT

(Kiev, 22 October, 1991) - Radyanska Square, the square near the building of Ukrainian Supreme Soviet, became today place of mass manifestation. The official and inofficial trade unions demanded the adoption of new law about the trade unions, while the Green Party made protest against Chernobyl nuclear power station, which is still not closed.

Among other manifestators about 10 members of Radical Party demonstrated with the symbol of the Radical Party under slogan "Immediate acknowledgment of Slovenia and Croatia". At the same time Vladimir Moskovka, Radical deputy of Supreme Soviet and member of Federal Council of the Radical Party, distributed in the Supreme Soviet the appeal signed by Radical members living and working in Kiev, which calls the Ukrainian parliament to recognize independence of Slovenia and Croatia, to prevent arms supplies from Ukrainian territory and to urge the question of aggression against Croatia in the United Nations like during the Gilf crisis.
