Prague, November 20th 1991 - It has started the great campaign of information, of solidarity, of denounce on the reality of the European Community's policy and on the reality of the countries of "real democracy", including the youngest democracies in Europe.

In the first hours of the campaign are already dozens the citizens, the political exponents, the members of Parliament, all over Europe, who have started their hunger strike against the risk that the solution "passively" accepted for ex-Yugoslavia will became the example for similar tragic and bloody solutions in Soviet Union, such as for other post-communist countries: solutions that are supported by "real-democratic" countries and by the heirs of the old "disorders".

Among citizens living in Czechoslovakia, are now on hunger strike:

-Dezider BALOG, Ondrej GINA, Zdenek GUZI, deputies in Czech National Parliament and Members of Federal Council of Radical Party;

-Richard STOCKAR, Secretery of Radicals' Association for United States of Europe;

-Paolo PIETROSANTI, Member of Federal Council of RP;

-Jan HONNER, Ladislav BARAK, members of RP.

The initative has already received the fullest support by several Czechoslovak MPs, both federal and national.

The radicals now on hunger strike have today sent the following message to the CSFR Government and to the President Havel:

"Tomorrow the Federal Government of Czechoslovakia will sit, and each Minister will have on his desk a copy of the Resolution approved by the RP Federal Council, held in Zagreb at the beginning of November; on November 15th, Vice-Premier Miklosko, in the name of the Government, has received a delegation of Radical Party, opening a dialogue we hope it will not be interrupted: we are on hunger strike to ask the European Community and the "real democracies", and now the tomorrow sitting Czechoslovak Government not to wait anymore. Czechoslovakia -the country of President Havel- has the chance to save human lives, and to give an example to the whole world.

It cannot be accepted that who is under attack and who attacks are treated in the same way. IT CANNOT EXIST ANY EQUIDISTANCE: IT IS THIS EQUIDISTANCE THAT IS ALLOWING AND LEGITIMATING THE AGGRESSION, AND THE SERBIAN FASCIST-COMMUNIST REGIME, WHOSE FIRST VICTIMS ARE THE SERBIAN CITIZENS.

Those countries that have democratically decided their independence must be recognized: IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO TAKE AWAY FROM MILOSEVIC AND HIS GENERALS THE LEGITIMATION THEY HAVE BEEN HAVING UP TO NOW; IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE TRAGEDY. EACH DAY YOU WILL LOOSE WILL COSTS HUMAN LIVES AND DEMOCRACY AND HOPE FOR A NEW EUROPE.

WE ARE ON HUNGER STRIKE TO HELP YOU TO DECIDE WHAT IS NOW INDISPENSABLE TO DECIDE: TO STOP BEING COOPERATORS AND ACCOMPLICES OF THE AGGRESSION.

We announce that we will wait -tomorrow, in front of the Government building- for the results of Your sitting."
