(Kiev, 28-30 November, 1991) - It was a slogan used by Ukrainian Radicals during the agitation campaign before the referendum about independence in Ukraine. 15.000 copies of Radical leaflet, appealing to vote YES, were distributed during three last days of pre-referendum campaign in Kiev and some other big Ukrainian cities.

In Kiev about 10 Radicals organized three-days picket under slogan "Europe - now!", with European flag, symbols of the Radical Party and leaflets at the main street of Ukrainian capital - Krescatyk. Activists of the Green Party with its co-president Vladimir Ivanov (also member of RP) and famous Ukrainian dissident Leonide Pliouchtch, who is living now in Paris and working as commentator of Radio Liberty (he was member of RP in 1989), joined this Radical action too. Five new members joined Radical Party during the action on Krescatyk street.

The same actions were organized by Radicals also in Kharkov, Donetsk and Zaporozhye. In Kharkov 5 persons became members of the Radical Party during the action for the United States of Europe on Sumskaja Street, main street of the city.

1 of December is the day of hope. It means hope for Ukrainian citizens of different nationalities and confessions, that totalitarian, empire past will never come back.

1 of December is the day of hope also for millions of Europeans, who fights today for democratic, federalist Europe of people and regions. They have full right to hope, that Ukraine - part of Europe, lost more than 70 years ago - will re-unite with Europe, as violently isolated Poland, Checkoslovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania are coming back.

Transnational Radical Party appeals to all people who accept themselves as Ukrainian citizens, to vote for independence. But not for independence of Iraqi, North Korean or Cubanian kind.

We would like to see Ukraine as a part of United States of Europe, as a country, where nobody's rights are violated, where is no place for death penalty, where people must not live under the treat of a new Chernobyl, where military expenses are not eating the pensions and students' salaries, where senseless and in-effective "war against drugs" is not leading only to grow of narcomafia's power.

Let 1 of December be not only Day of Independence, but also Day of Returning to Europe.
