Prague, July 29th 1992. A dozen citizens took part to a demonstration promoted by Radical Party in front of Cuban Embassy, yesterday in Prague.
Demonstrators were to consign an Appeal signed by more than 200 among MPs, Nobel prize winners, political leaders from several countries. The appeal is in favour of Luis Alberto Pita Santos and Daniel Azpillaga, jailed in Cuba to have organized nonviolent demonstrations in favour of democratic reforms, and of Mario Chanes de Armas, detained for 30 years, for whom it's asked the permission to leave Cuba.
Radical Party organized yesterday similar demonstrations also in Rome, New York, Miami, Brussels, Sofia, Moscow, Kiev, Saint Petersburg, Bucarest.
In Czechoslovakia 23 MPs have signed the appeal, that was signed also by Emil SCUKA, General Secretary of the Roman World Union. Among the signataires -belonging to 10 political parties- the President of Federal Parliament Michal KOVAC.
The Embassy, asked in advance to receive a delegation, refused. Yesterday, the demonstrators didn't receive any answer by the Embassy.
The demonstration was attended by several journalists and photografers. Today, two daily papers give the demonstration the most important position on the front page.
