Brussels, 11.06.1993 (Agence Europe) - On June 15 to 18, in Helsinki, the Greens will be the first Parliamentary Group of the European Parliament to hold their meeting in Finland. Green Group co-President Adelaide Aglietta, will present a paper on "the Greens faced with the challenge of democratisation and enlargement of the Community" which will mainly tackle the institutional and political implications of enlargement. The seminar will be attended by Greens from both EC Member and countries interested in joining the EC.
Before the Group's meeting, a delegation formed of the co-president Mrs. Aglietta and Mr. Lannoye, as well as Mrs. Isler-Bguin and Mr. Bettini, will meet the Russian Greens from 11 to 15 June in Saint Petersburg. The MEPs will also meet local authorities and will discuss, in particular, the problems of nuclear safety.
