Leading Transnational Radical Party activists inside the conference hall held up a banner reading "Save Tibet" at the start of the proceedings of the UN World Conference on Human Rights, to remind governments and NGOs present of the unpardonable exclusion of the Dalai Lama, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, to speak at the Vienna Conference on Human Rights, makes the drammatic situation of the Tibetan people on the part of China-one of the countries most guilty of the abuse of human rights and whose laws still provide for the death penalty - is more serious than ever at the present time. The exclusion of the Dalai Lama from an assembly of such international importance is an extremely disturbing sign.
