ansa - 17:01The initiatives in favour of ex Yugoslavia are intensifying: the adhesions on the appeal for a rapid institution of a tribunal to judge the war crimes committed during the civil war is meeting with growing support, while the initiative aimed at awarding the Nobel prize to the children of Sarajevo and Bosnia is also continuing.
The international appeal, promoted by the radical party and addressed to the upcoming United Nations General Assembly to urge the institution by 1993 of a tribunal to judge crimes committed in ex Yugoslavia as of 1991, has met with a vast consent. According to a press release of the radical party, "over 100 Italian parliamentarians, members of the Pds, Psi, Dc, Pri, Pli, Greens, Psdi, Rete and Lista Pannella". Among the personalities, actors Carmelo Bene, Dario Fo and Franca Rame, philosopher Giacomo Marramao, industrialist Sergio Pininfarina.
In the meanwhile UNICEF, the United Nations International Chidren's Emergency Fund, underscores the support given to the initiative started by the Chamber special commission for community policies to award the Nobel Prize for Peace to the children of Bosnia. The president of the Commission, Carlo Franzani, asked his colleagues of the EEC countries to support the proposal by asking members of parliament of their countries to endorse the initiative.
