(Moscow, January 15) - The public assembly of Radical Party members living and working in Moscow has taken place today in the conference hall of Hotel Moskva. The assembly chaired by Mamuka Tsagareli, vice president of Radical Party's General Council, has gathered more then 80 participants.
Andrea Tamburi, member of RP's secretariat, communicated about general situation in the Radical Party after the Sofia meeting of General Council. In particularly, he informed about the last Radical initiatives on the Ad Hoc Tribunal, the international campaign to abolish death penalty till 2000 and other initiatives provided by the "Lines of Political Initiatives" - report written by Radical Secretary Emma Bonino and adopted by the RP's General Council.
During the followed debates 24 speakers have made their interventions, among them Konstantin Kedrov, columnist of Izvestija newspaper; Nikolaj Khramov, member of RP's General Council; Vladimir Grishkin, former deputy of Mossoviet; Fedor Chub, activist from Sankt Petersburg; Valentina Melnikova, press secretary of Soldiers' Mothers' Committee; Sergej Sheboldaev, former Russian people's deputy and member of the presidency of the Parliamentarian Assembly of the Radical Party; Svetlana Koptel, member of General Council; rev. Nikon, bishop of Truly Orthodox Church enlisted to the Radical Party; Antonio Stango, member of the secretariat of the Radical Party.
33 new members have joined Radical Party for the 1994 during the assembly in Hotel Moskva and 37 were reported by Fiodor Chub from Sankt Peterburg.
