Zemedelske noviny, 1st page: Interview with Tomas Haas from Antidrug Commitee titled: It is neccessary to seriously discuss on drugs. Decision taken by this Commitee is basic for the approach of all ministers involved in solving the problem of drugs. Haas says that the equilibrium among represion, prevetion and legalization has to be found. His oppinion is that the society cannot completely legalize drugs, because if there is something legal, it is hard to control it. He wants to decide about a limit of "amount of drug for personal use" and whoever will be found keeping more than this limit will be punished as a distributor.

Zemedelske noviny, 2nd page: The Chairman of Green party J. Vlcek reacted to yesterday's statement of Czech Premier Vaclav Klaus, who said that any state should not regulate in any way the amount of children and that richer countries shoud not advice to poorer ones what to do in this issue. Vlcek's article says everything: Klaus shoud speak about tennis and not about demography.

Lidove noviny, 2nd page: Czech Minister of Environment Benda is afraid that Czech people will prefer money- even for burning the waste even brought from abroad - to clean environment. He wants to become involved in the decision making of this problem.

Rude pravo, 2nd page: Jiri Dienstbier, former Minister of Foreign Affairs will, among other politicians, take part in the czech communal elections.

Cesky denik, 4th page: Mrs. Wysoudilova from the cityhall of Ostrava says that young men are not interested so much in the possibility of attending the civil service for moral reasons. But she expects, that this situation will turn to opposite after making civil service shorter ( from current 27 to 18 month). According to her there will be the lack of working places for this purpose.

Cesky denik, 5th page: Center for drug dependent people was opened in Olomouc.

Rude pravo, 12.9.94, 3th page: The Seminar called European Romanies in Changing Period was held in Brno during the last weekend under leading of K. Holomek, Coordinator of International Romany Section of HCA( Helsinky Citizens Assembly) and member of Radical Party. Romany leaders from Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Rumenia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Czech Republic took part in this seminar. They founded International Romany Center as the Section of HCA.
