THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT ADOPTS A RESOLUTION CONDEMNING THE SALE OF ORGANS OF PEOPLE SENTENCED TO DEATH CARRIED OUT BY THE ARMY OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA.

DECLARATION OF OLIVIER DUPUIS AND GIANFRANCO DELL'ALBA, MEMBERS OF EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT (EUROPEAN RADICAL ALLIANCE)

Strasbourg-Brussels, May 15, 1998. "Finally by the wide majority ("in favour" PPE, ERA, Greens, Liberals and UPE; "against" PES and GUE) the European Parliament condemned the sale of organs of people sentenced to death carried out by the army of the People's Republic of China and requested the Council and the Commission "to undertake all the initiatives in order that the United Nations appoint without delay a commission of international investigation ...".

A stand of European Parliament which constitutes, together with those numerous ones in the last years on human rights situation in China, on the situation in Tibet, East Turkestan, Inner Mongolia and Hong Kong, THE POLITICAL POSITION OF EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT that, as such, MUST BE presented, explained and strongly defended by the Delegation EP/China which will take place in Peking next week."
