The "Bonino List" asks that the EU immediately suspend its Partnership Agreement with Moscow
We must do more than verbally condemn the atrocious "final solution" being inflicted by the Russian Government and its generals on the capital of Chechnya and its civilian population, in flagrant violation of the Geneva Conventions on human rights. We must do everything we can to prevent the war crimes that the Russians intend to commit from being perpetrated in Grozny. The European Union has the moral obligation to immediately suspend its Partnership and Co-operation Agreement with Moscow. The transnational Radical Party and the MEPs of the "Bonino List" urge the Heads of State and Government who will participate next Saturday in the European Council meeting in Helsinki to impose drastic measures in order to exert political pressure on the Russian Federation; and we call on the European Parliament to discuss, together with the representatives of the Council and the Commission, at its next plenary session in Strasbourg on 15 December, further measures to be imposed on Russia at the political, diplomatic, eco
nomic and humanitarian level.
