DECLARATION OF DMITRY NEVEROVSKY

Obninsk, July 26, 2000. The court has passed a fully expected sentence, I was brought in guilty and then amnestied. It is clear that nobody wants to respond for the five months I spent in the prison. It is clear that the Military Commissar is afraid of a verdict of not guilty since he is boasting of the fact that there are not any refusniks in Obninsk now. The power is afraid like death of the precedent.

I'm not going to rest on my laurels. I'm going to achieve justice here and now however ridiculous it sounds in today's Russia.
