Six Tibetans have been on a hunger strike since 14 October 1995 before the United Nations. They have submitted a five-point charter of demands, to which you have not responded. I am very concerned that your office has not taken any notice, as the physical condition of these six people are now extremely critical and it is unconscionable for the United Nations to let them die. I urge you to personally meet with the hunger strikers and listen to their grievances. I am certain that UN would not like to celebrate its 50th anniversary with the death of six Tibetans.
