After a short notice, yesterday in downtown Seattle about twenty Tibetans gathered in circle with slogans in their hands. A protest against the recent China's decision to summoned 75 high lamas from Tibet against their own will to find the "real" reincarnation of HH Panchen Lama - who passed away in 1989. HH the Dalai Lama had already announced six months ago officially that the young boy named Gedhun Choekyi Nima is the real reincarnation of HH Panchen Lama - considered to be the second highest lama to the Tibetans. Therefore, every Tibetans in Tibet and in exile knows who the real reincarnation is? Yet, China a communist country, with frustration and anger is determined to show what is best for Tibetan people and in their religious matter. Indeed this shows that China want's desperately to rule Tibet completely by claiming their own "puppet leader" to manipulate Tibetans in Tibet. It is a another monumental threat to the existence of Tibetan people and their culture. With this in mind, many Tibetans and fr

iends of Tibet have been protesting around the globe, such as here in Seattle. After attracting considerate attentions from by passers in the cold wind, a statement from New York's Office of Tibet was read by the President of Tibetan Association of Washington. Like a ripple, an awareness and concern was definately passed on to the crowds by the end of the protest.
