OTTAWA, Dec. 1, 1995, (CTC-Ottawa) - The Canada Tibet Committee in cooperation with OPIRG Carleton (Burma/Tibet group) invite everyone to join us for a gathering on International Human Rights Day. We will meet at noon on Sunday, December 10, at the Human Rights Monument on Elgin Street. Last year our candle-light celebration was well attended - this year we are holding the event at noon so please feel free to bring symbols of peace and human rights ... candles are still fine but use your imagination!
A brief message from His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet on the theme of non-violence will be read by a representative of the Canada Tibet Committee. Other groups who might wish to offer a short message should contact the organizers.
