The output was about the same as that in 1995, the official said. He declined to provide further details.
Yellow River Aluminium Industry Co Ltd was established in January 1995 and capitalised at several billion yuan.
Kaiser Aluminium Corp of the United States holds a 49 percent stake. Its Chinese partner, Lanzhou aluminium smelter, holds the rest.
