March 10 The Canada Tibet Committee (Ottawa Branch in Cooperation with the Montreal, National Office) will be organizing its annual March 10th demonstration with a special emphasis on the Chinese kidnapping of the Panchen Lama.
LONG LIFE PUJA: We will gather at Parliament Hill at 12:00 noon on Sunday, March 10 for a Long Life Puja for His Holiness the Dalai Lama and for His Holiness the Panchen Lama.
FIVE ILLEGAL ACTS: We will perform five acts of freedom, any of which would result in prison, torture or death in Tibet under Chinese rule.
The "Five Illegal Acts" are perfectly legal in Canada.
MARCH TO THE CHINESE EMBASSY: After the ceremony, we will march to the Chinese Embassy where, in addition to our usual demonstration, we will read the names of some of the Tibetans who have been imprisoned, tortured or killed by the Chinese Government for their human rights activities and we will tie commemorative ribbons for them in front of the embassy.
Anyone who wishes to show their support is welcome to participate in this event. Our only requirement is non-violence.

Demonstration outside the Chinese embassy at 10.00am and march down London's commericial high streets - Regent Road, Oxford Circles, Picadilly Circles, Tafgalar Square, Whitehall and end in front of the Brtish Foreign Office. The march will be lead by the Tibetan Community in Britain and joined by Tibet supports. Over 300 people are expected to join.

March 10th Tibetan Uprising Day in San Francisco
From: Ventul Rinpoche Tibetans and Tibet supporters in the San Francisco Bay area will observe the 37th Tibetan Uprising Day with a Peace March and demonstration.
Tibetans and Tibet supporters will gather at Fifth and Market Street, San Francisco, on Sunday, March 10, 1996 at 12:00 p.m. There will be a Peace March to the Chinese Consulate at Laguna and Geary, San Francisco, followed by a demonstration in front of the Consulate from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. to call on the government of the People's Republic of China to stop the violations of fundamental freedoms and human rights in Tibet: to halt the destruction of Tibetan culture; and to free Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, the Eleventh Panchen Lama, and the other Tibetan prisoners of conscience.
The Peace March and demonstration are organized by Tibetan Association of Northern California and Bay Area Friends of Tibet.
