Today on 10th March 1996, we the Tibetan people all over the world remember this day as black chapter in our history. On this day in 1959 the Chinese invasion and subsequent occupation has completed by putting peaceful Tibetan peoples uprising which resulted in escape of spiritual and temporal Leader of Tibet, the fourteenth Dalai Lama. China has not only invaded and colonized Tibet but every brick of the international law including the fundamental human rights of Tibetans are encroached upon to the root. They have pursued on policy to eliminate Tibetans as a race. Tibetans are forced to become a minority in their own land through forced abortion, killing at birth, arbitary arrest, disappearances and heavy fines on new born babies. On the other hand migration of the Chinese are encouraged and in many cases state sponsored. China has continually suppressed the Tibetan peoples nationalist expression and political aspiration. The number of political prisoners are ever increasing. The case of the 11th Panchen L
ama is a vivid example . He is the youngest political prisoner of the world and also a challenge to the free world who cares for their own rights in the name of fundamental right. It is in this very prospective that we urge the world community to;
1. Condemn the illegal Chinese occupation of Tibet and recognize
Tibet as an occupied country.
2. Support for observer status to Tibet at United Nation General
Assembly.
3. Put an immediate end to the human right violations in
occupied Tibet and release of political prisoners
unconditionally.
4. Urge an end to the demographic aggression of Chinese
civilians and earnest negotiation on the future of Tibet with
the representative of Tibetan Government in exile.
