LONDON, 16 Apr 96 (The Daily Telegraph) -- India has refused permission for two Western film directors to shoot locally two films on the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan leader living in exile in north India for 47 years. Official sources said India did not want to offend China, with whom it has an ongoing border dispute, by allowing the American Martin Scorsese and Jean Jacques Annaud of France to film Kundan and Seven years in Tibet in the country.
